Located: in Southern Europe, on the Eastern edge of the Mediterranean Sea
Topography: Greece is made up of mostly mountains and islands, the most important range is the Pindus. This range is 8,700 ft in elevation.
Surrounding: Albania, FYROM, Bulgaria, Turkey, and the Mediterranean Sea
All of this affected Greece's culture in many ways. First since most of the island was mountains, your space was limited to grow crops. Second, having the Mediterranean Sea available to them it was easy to transport goods.

- Sparta is located in the center of the Peloponnese
- Athens is the capital and the largest city of Greece
- Athens allowed girls o education while Sparta did
- Sparta is dependent on agriculture while Athens is dependent on agriculture and trade
